8 Jan 2013 was one of the hottest days on record in Sydney, and across Australia. Until it was surpassed on 18 January. On that day, Ann and I walked from Mona Vale to Narrabeen as part of our Great Northern Beaches Trek. We then repaired to airconditioning, but I had an afternoon swim at the pool across from where we were staying. Next morining was considerably cooler, and cloudy, as we resumed our walk south. Next stop, Dee Why.
